Continuation of the Musnad of Aisha (RA)

Hadith 150:197
Ahmad ibn Janab narrated to us, Isa ibn Yunus narrated to us, from Hisham ibn Urwah, he said: My brother Abdullah ibn Urwah narrated to me, from his father, from Aisha, she said: Eleven women gathered and pledged and covenanted that they would not conceal anything of the news of their husbands. The first said: "My husband is the lean meat of a camel upon the top of a mountain; it is not easy to climb, nor is it fat so that it may be moved." The second said: "My husband, I will not broadcast his news, for I fear that if I leave him, I will not be able to leave him; if I mention him, I mention his faults and his defects." The third said: "My husband is the tall, lanky one; if I remain silent, I am left hanging, and if I speak, I am divorced." The fourth said: "My husband is like the night of Tihamah; neither hot nor cold, nor is there fear, nor is there weariness." The fifth said: "My husband, if he eats, he wraps up; if he drinks, he drains; if he sleeps, he curls up; and he does not insert his hand to know the sorrow." The sixth said: "My husband—Isa was uncertain—is either 'Ghayaya' or 'Ayaya', 'Tabaqaya'; every ailment has an ailment; he wounds you, or he breaks you, or he gathers both for you." The seventh said: "My husband, if he enters, he is a lion; if he exits, he is a leopard; and he does not ask about what he has promised." The eighth said: "My husband is the touch of a rabbit, and the scent is the scent of a fragrant herb." The ninth said: "My husband is of high pillars, long sword-belt, great ashes, and his house is near the gathering place." The tenth said: "My husband is Malik, and what is Malik? He is better than that. He has camels few in their grazing grounds, but many in their resting places; when they hear the sound of the lute, they are certain that they are doomed." The eleventh said: "My husband is Abu Zar', and what is Abu Zar'? He adorned my ears with jewelry, filled my upper arms with fat, and made me feel proud, so I felt proud of myself. He found me among people with a few sheep in a difficult valley, and he placed me among people of neighing horses, grunting camels, threshers, and winnowers. With him, I speak and am not rebuked; I sleep until the morning; I drink and I quench my thirst. The mother of Abu Zar', and what is the mother of Abu Zar'? Her bags are heavy, and her house is spacious. The son of Abu Zar', and what is the son of Abu Zar'? His sleeping place is like a stripped palm branch, and the arm of a young goat satisfies him. The daughter of Abu Zar', and what is the daughter of Abu Zar'? Obedient to her father, obedient to her mother, filling her garment, and a source of envy to her female neighbor. The maidservant of Abu Zar', and what is the maidservant of Abu Zar'? She does not broadcast our news, she does not steal our provisions, and she does not leave our house in disarray." Abu Zar' went out while the milk skins were being churned, and he met a woman who had two sons like two leopards playing with two pomegranates from beneath her waist. So he divorced me and married her. I married after him a noble man who rode a fast horse, took a spear, and brought home to me abundant livestock. He said: "Eat, O mother of Zar', and provide for your family." She said: "Even if I gathered everything he gave me, it would not reach the smallest vessel of Abu Zar'." Aisha said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me: "O Aisha, I was to you as Abu Zar' was to Umm Zar'."
