'Abd al-A'la ibn Hammad narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from Hammad, from Ibrahim, from al-Aswad, who said: I asked 'Aishah about physical intimacy (mubasharah) for the fasting person, and she disliked it. I said to her: "It has reached me that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to engage in physical intimacy while he was fasting." She said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had more control over his desire than all of the people."
