Hadith 150:215

'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Qasim, from his father, who said: 'A'ishah said: "We went out with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), not intending anything but Hajj. When we were at Sarif, or near it, I began to menstruate. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) entered upon me while I was weeping. He said: 'What is the matter with you? Have you menstruated?' I said: 'Yes.' He said: 'This is a matter that Allah has decreed for the daughters of Adam. So perform what the pilgrim performs, except that you do not circumambulate the House until you have performed ghusl (ritual bath).' When we were at Mina, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) sacrificed cows on behalf of his wives."
