Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 150:218

'Aishah said: "I never saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) pray any of the night prayer sitting, until he reached an advanced age. He would pray, and he would recite. When there remained thirty or forty verses of the surah, he would stand and recite them, then he would bow."
