'Abbad ibn Musa al-Khatali narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Thabit narrated to us, from Hisham, from his father, from 'Aishah, she said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) was asked about poetry, and he said: "It is speech; its good is good, and its bad is bad."
