Hadith 150:3

Suwayd ibn Sa'id narrated to us, Muslim ibn Khalid narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Harith, from Muhammad ibn Ja'far ibn al-Zubayr, from 'Urwah, from 'Aishah, who said: "The reinforcements of the Arabs increased upon the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), and they forced him into the house of 'Aishah. He said, 'O Allah, curse them.' 'Aishah said, 'O Messenger of Allah, the people will perish.' He said, 'No, by Allah, O daughter of al-Siddiq, I have made a condition with my Lord that has no breaking. I said: O Allah, I am a human being; I become distressed by what human beings become distressed by, and I become hasty as human beings become hasty. So, whoever among the people I have issued a harsh word against, make it an expiation for him.'"
