Muhammad ibn 'Abbad al-Makki narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Abu Sa'd, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Aswad, from his father, who said: 'Aishah said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) did not marry me until Gabriel came to him with my image and said: 'This is your wife.' And he married me while I was a young girl wearing a *hawf* (a type of garment). When he married me, Allah cast modesty upon me."
