Harun narrated to us, Abdullah bin Wahb narrated to us, Amr informed me that Bakr bin Sawadah narrated to him that Yazid bin Abi Habib narrated to him, from Ubayd bin Umayr, from Aisha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace: That a man recited this verse: "Whoever does evil will be recompensed for it" (An-Nisa: 123). He said: "If we are to be recompensed for everything we do, then we are ruined." This reached the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, so he said: "Yes, the believer is recompensed for it in the world through his affliction in his body, in that which harms him."
