Muhammad ibn al-Minhal narrated to us, Yazid ibn Zuray' narrated to us, Bistam ibn Muslim narrated to us, from Abu al-Tayyah Yazid ibn Humayd, from Ibn Abi Mulaykah, that 'Aishah came one day from the graveyards. I said to her, "From where have you come, O Mother of the Believers?" She said, "From the grave of my brother, 'Abd al-Rahman." I said to her, "O Mother of the Believers, did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbid visiting graves?" She said, "Yes, he used to forbid visiting them. And he had forbidden the meat of the sacrificial animals (al-adahi) from being eaten after three days, then he commanded that it be eaten. And he had forbidden drinking from the earthen jar (nabidh al-jarr)."
