Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 150:378

Mujahid ibn Musa narrated to us, Abu Usamah narrated to us, from Hisham ibn Urwah, from his father, from Aisha, who said: The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was bewitched until he would imagine that he had done a thing when he had not done it. Then, one day, while he was with me, he supplicated to Allah and supplicated, then he said: "Do you realize, O Aisha, that Allah has answered me regarding that which I asked Him about?" I said: "And what is that, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "Two angels came to me, and one of them sat at my head and the other at my feet. Then one of them said to his companion: 'What is the man's ailment?' He said: 'He is bewitched.' He said: 'Who bewitched him?' He said: 'Labid ibn al-A'sam, the Jew, from the Banu Zurayq.' He said: 'In what?' He said: 'In a comb and the hair that has fallen off.' He said: 'And where is it?' He said: 'In the well of Dhu Arwan.'" The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, went with some of his companions to the well, and they looked at it and its palm trees. Then he returned to Aisha and said: "By Allah, its water was like the infusion of henna, and its palm trees were like the heads of devils." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, did you take it out?" He said: "No. As for me, Allah has granted me well-being and healed me, and I feared that I would stir up evil among the people because of it." So he ordered it to be buried.
