Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 150:393

'Abdullah ibn al-Rumi narrated to us, Abu Usamah narrated to us, from Hisham ibn 'Urwah, from his father, from 'Aishah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) married me when I was a girl of six years, and he consummated the marriage with me when I was a girl of nine years. We arrived in Medina, and I suffered from a fever for a month, so my hair grew until it reached my earlobes. Umm Ruman came to me while I was on a swing, and she called out to me. I went to her, and I did not know what was intended for me. She took my hand and made me stand at the door. I said, "Ha, ha," until my breath ran out. She then brought me into a house, and there were women of the Ansar inside. They said to me, "With goodness and blessing, and with the best of fortune." She handed me over to them, and they washed my head and prepared me. Nothing startled me except for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and they handed me over to him.
