Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 150:396

Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, Hafs narrated to us, from Dawud, from al-Sha'bi, from Masruq: He said: I asked Aisha about this verse which contains the vision [of Allah]. She said: I am the most knowledgeable of this nation regarding this, and I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about that. He said: "I saw Jibril." Then she said: Whoever claims that Muhammad saw his Lord has fabricated a great lie against Allah.
