Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 150:406

Abu Ya'la Ahmad ibn Ali ibn al-Muthanna al-Mawsili informed me, he said: Al-Abbas ibn al-Walid al-Narsi narrated to us, he said: Yahya al-Qattan narrated to us, from Sulayman, from Muslim, he said: Masruq said, from Aisha, she said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) once did a matter and granted a concession regarding it. It reached him that some men had refrained from it. He stood and delivered a sermon, then said: "What is the matter with men who knew that I had done something and granted a concession regarding it, yet they refrained from it? By Allah, I am the most knowledgeable of them regarding Allah, and the most intense of them in fear of Him."
