'Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, Musa ibn 'Ubaydah narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Hani' informed me, from 'Asim ibn 'Ubayd Allah, from 'Urwah ibn al-Zubayr, from 'Aishah, that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said to her: "Hand me my cloak." So she handed it to him. He went out and ascended the pulpit, and the people gathered to him. He said: "O people, indeed Allah says: 'You shall enjoin the good and you shall forbid the evil before you suffer drought, then you will ask for rain and you will not be given rain.' O people, indeed Allah says: 'You shall enjoin the good and you shall forbid the evil before you supplicate and you will not be answered.'"
