'Abdullah ibn 'Umar ibn Aban narrated to us, Yahya ibn Zakariyya ibn Abi Za'idah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from Muhammad ibn Ja'far ibn al-Zubayr, from 'Urwah ibn al-Zubayr, from 'A'ishah, who said: Juwayriyah came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: "I fell into the share of Thabit ibn Qays ibn Shammas, or a cousin of his, and I have made a contract of manumission (kitabah) with him for myself. I have come to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, to seek his help with my kitabah." He said: "Do you desire something better than that? I shall pay off your kitabah and marry you." She said: "Yes." He said: "Then I have done so."
