Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Numayr narrated to us, my father narrated to us, Ibn Ishaq narrated to us, from Thawr ibn Zayd, from Muhammad ibn Ubayd ibn Abi Salih, who said: Adi ibn Adi sent me to Safiyyah bint Shaybah to ask her about things she used to narrate from Aisha. She said: Aisha narrated to me that she heard the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying: "There is no divorce and no manumission in *ighlaq* (coercion/rage/distress)."
