Ja'far ibn Mihran narrated to us, 'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Ishaq narrated to us, from Ibn Shihab, 'Ubayd Allah ibn 'Abd Allah ibn 'Utbah narrated to me, from 'A'ishah, that she said: The last of his words was a word I heard from him, and he was saying: "Nay, the Highest Companion from Paradise." She said: I said: "Then, by Allah, he will not choose us." And I knew that which he used to say to us: "A Prophet of Allah is not taken until he is given a choice."
