Hadith 217:12
Zuhayr narrated to us, Waki’ narrated to us, al-A’mash narrated to us, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja’d, from Kurayb, from Ibn Abbas, from his maternal aunt [Maymunah], who said: I prepared water for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) for a ritual bath (ghusl). He performed ghusl from janabah (major ritual impurity). He tilted the vessel with his left hand onto his right hand and washed his palm three times. Then he poured [water] over his private part and washed it. Then he struck his hand against the wall or the ground and rubbed it. Then he rinsed his mouth and nose, and washed his face and his forearms. Then he poured [water] over his head, and then he poured [water] over the rest of his body. Then he moved aside and washed his feet. I brought him a garment, but he gestured with his hand like this—meaning he refused it.
