Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 217:16

Zuhayr narrated to us, Wahb ibn Jarir narrated to us, my father narrated to us, he said: I heard Abu Fazara narrating from Yazid ibn al-Asamm, from Maymunah, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) married her while in a state of *halal* (not in ihram), and consummated the marriage with her while in a state of *halal*. She died in Sarif on the night he consummated the marriage with her. She was my maternal aunt, and I and Ibn Abbas descended into her grave. When we placed her in the *lahd* (niche), her head tilted. I took my cloak and gathered it, then placed it under her head. Ibn Abbas pulled it away and threw it aside, and placed a brick under her head. He said: She had shaved her head during the Hajj, so her head was shaven.
