Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 217:5

Ahmad ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, Abu Bakr al-Hanafi narrated to us, Umar ibn Ishaq ibn Yasar narrated to us, he said: I read a book with Ata’ that was with him, and in it was: Maymunah, the wife of the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), narrated to me that she said: "O Messenger of Allah, should a man remove his leather socks every hour?" He said: "No, but he may wipe over them as long as he wishes."
