Hadith 217:9

Abu ‘Amir ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Amir narrated to us, Ishaq ibn Mansur al-Saluli narrated to us, Sharik narrated to us, from Simak, from ‘Ikrimah, from Ibn ‘Abbas, from Maymunah, who said: I became in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah), and the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) and I. I performed ghusl from a large bowl, and some of it remained. The Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) came to perform ghusl from it, so I said: "I have already performed ghusl from it." He said: "Indeed, water does not have janabah upon it."

حدثنا أبو عامر عبد الله بن عامر حدثنا إسحاق بن منصور السلولي حدثنا شريك عن سماك عن عكرمة عن بن عباس عن ميمونة قالت أجنبت أنا والنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فاغتسلت من جفنة ففضل فيها فجاء النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ليغتسل منها فقلت إني قد اغتسلت منها فقال * إن الماء ليست عليه جنابة
