Zuhayr narrated to us, Hawt ibn Jawwab al-Dabbi narrated to us, Ammar ibn Zurayq narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Abd al-Karim, from Mujahid, from Ibn Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade gold rings, *al-qasiyyah* (garments containing silk), and the red *maytharah* (saddle cloth) saturated with safflower dye. And he forbade reciting the Quran while bowing or prostrating.
