Ishaq narrated to us, Abd al-Wahid ibn Ziyad narrated to us, Khasif narrated to us, Miqsam, the freed slave of Ibn Abbas, narrated to us, from Ibn Abbas, who said: When this verse was revealed: "It is not for a prophet to defraud" (Al Imran), regarding a red velvet blanket that was missing on the day of Badr, some people said, "Perhaps the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, took it." So Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, revealed: "It is not for a prophet to defraud, and whoever defrauds will bring what he defrauded on the Day of Resurrection" (Al Imran).
