Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 111:92

Ahmad ibn Ibrahim al-Dawraqi narrated to us, saying: al-Nadr ibn Kathir narrated to us, saying: Abdullah ibn Tawus prayed beside me. When he prostrated the first prostration and raised his head from it, he would raise his hands toward his face. I disapproved of that, so I said to Wuhayb ibn Khalid, "Indeed, this man does something I have not seen anyone do." He said: So Wuhayb said to him, "You do something we have not seen anyone do." Abdullah ibn Tawus said, "I saw my father do it." My father said, "I saw Ibn Abbas do it." He said: And he mentioned that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to do it.
