Hadith 109:165

Abu Hisham al-Rifa'i narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Fudayl narrated to us, al-Walid ibn Jami' narrated to us, from Abu Salamah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stood one day upon the pulpit and said: "O people, I did not stand among you because of news that came to me from the heaven, but news reached me and I rejoiced at it, and I wanted you to rejoice at the joy of your Prophet. It is that while some riders were traveling at sea, their food ran out. An island appeared to them, so they went out seeking bread. The Jassasah met them." I (the narrator) said to Abu Salamah: "And what is the Jassasah?" He said: "A woman dragging the hair of her skin and her head. She said: 'In this palace is news, what do you want?' They came to it, and behold, there was a man bound. He said: 'Inform me or ask me, and I will inform you.' The people remained silent. He said: 'Inform me about the palm trees of Baysan, do they bear fruit?' They said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Inform me about the spring of Zughar, is there water in it?' They said: 'Yes.' They said: 'He is the Messiah, the earth is folded for him in forty days, except for Tayyibah.'" The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "And Tayyibah is Medina. There is no gate among its gates but that there is an angel with his sword drawn, preventing him. And in Mecca, there is the like of that." Then he said: "It is not in the Persian Sea, it is not in the Roman Sea," three times. Then he struck his right palm upon his left three times. Ibn Abi Salamah said to me regarding this hadith: "There is something I did not memorize." We said: "What is it?" He said: "Jabir testified that it is Ibn Sayyad." I said: "No, for Ibn Sayyad has died." He said: "Even if he died." I said: "He had accepted Islam." He said: "Even if he accepted Islam." I said: "He had entered Medina." He said: "Even if he entered Medina."
