Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 109:17

Ishaq narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir, who heard Jabir ibn Abdullah saying: A boy was born to a man among us, so he named him al-Qasim. We said, "We will not call you Abu al-Qasim, nor will we grant you that pleasure." So he came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and mentioned that to him. He said, "Name him Abd al-Rahman."
