Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 109:19

Ishaq narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir, who heard from Jabir ibn Abdullah, who said: I became ill, so the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and Abu Bakr came to me while they were walking. They found that I had fainted. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, performed ablution, then poured his ablution water over me, and I regained consciousness. I asked him, saying: "O Messenger of Allah, how should I act regarding my wealth?" He did not answer me until the verse of inheritance was revealed, meaning His saying: "Allah instructs you concerning your children" (An-Nisa: 11).
