Abu Khaythama narrated to us, Abd al-Samad ibn Abd al-Warith narrated to us, Hisham narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do not wrap yourselves in the *al-samma'* (a style of wrapping where the garment is wrapped around the body leaving no opening for the arms) while in a single garment. And let not any one of you eat with his left hand. And let him not walk in a single sandal. And let him not sit in the *ihtiba'* position (sitting with the knees drawn up to the chest) while in a single garment."
