Ibn Numayr narrated to us, my father narrated to us, from al-A‘mash, from Abu Sufyan, from Jabir, who said: I heard the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying: "Indeed, Satan has despaired that the worshippers will worship him, but [he seeks to cause discord] by inciting strife among them."
