Ibn Numayr narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Ubayd narrated to us, from al-A’mash, from Abu Sufyan, from Jabir: That Umar saw a man who performed ablution but left the space of a fingernail on his foot [unwashed], so he ordered him to repeat it.
