Surayj ibn Yunus narrated to us, Isma'il narrated to us, from Mujalid, from al-Sha'bi, from Jabir ibn 'Abd Allah, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was asked about Abu Talib: "Does your prophethood benefit him?" He said: "Yes, I brought him out from the depths of Hell to a shallow place of it." He was asked about Khadijah, because she died before the obligatory duties and the rulings of the Qur'an. He said: "I saw her at a river from the rivers of Paradise, in a house of hollowed pearls, in which there is no clamor and no fatigue." He was asked about Waraqah ibn Nawfal. He said: "I saw him in the depths of Paradise, wearing silk." He was asked about Zayd ibn 'Amr ibn Nufayl. He said: "He will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection as a nation by himself, between me and 'Isa, peace be upon them both."
