Al-Hasan ibn Isa ibn Masarjis, the freed slave of Ibn al-Mubarak, narrated to us: Ibn al-Mubarak informed us, [who] informed us from Sufyan, from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Aqil, from Jabir, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, used to pray the Dhuhr [prayer] when the sun had passed the meridian.
