Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 109:52

Shayban narrated to us, Talha bin Zayd narrated to us, from Ubaydah bin Hassan, from Ata al-Kikharani, from Jabir, who said: While we were with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) in a house, among a group of the Emigrants, including Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Talha, al-Zubayr, Abd al-Rahman bin Awf, and Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Let every man rise to his equal." The Prophet (peace be upon him) rose to Uthman and embraced him. He said: "You are my ally in this world, and you are my ally in the Hereafter."
