Al-Fadl ibn al-Sabah narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Zakariyya narrated to us, from 'Anbasah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, from Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The greeting is before speech." And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do not invite anyone to food until he greets."
