Hajjaj ibn Yusuf, who is known as Ibn al-Sha'ir, narrated to us, Uthman ibn Umar narrated to us, Yunus narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Salamah, from Jabir, who said: We were with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) gathering *kabath* (fruit of the Arak tree). He said: "You should take the black ones from it, for it is the best of it." We said: "And were you a shepherd of sheep?" He said: "Yes, and is there any prophet who has not shepherded them?"
