Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Sahm al-Antaki narrated to us, Baqiyyah ibn al-Walid narrated to us, Mubashir ibn Ubayd narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do not marry women except to those who are equals (kuf'), and none shall give them in marriage except the guardians (awliya'), and there is no dowry (mahr) less than ten dirhams."
