Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 183:1

Abu Sa’id al-Qawariri narrated to us, Ja’far ibn Sulayman al-Duba’i narrated to us, Abu al-Tayyah narrated to us, he said: A man asked ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Hubshi, and he was a very old man. He said: "O son of Hubshi, how did the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) act when he was distressed?" He said: "He ascended the pulpit and addressed us until the time of ‘Asr arrived. Then he descended and prayed, then he ascended the pulpit and addressed us until the sun set. He informed us of what had been and what is to be, so the most retentive of us in memory knew it."
