Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 250:5

Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Asma’ narrated to us, Ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, from al-Awza’i, who said: Yahya ibn Abi Kathir narrated to me, he said: Hilal narrated to me, that ‘Ata’ ibn Yasar narrated to him, that ‘Abdullah ibn Salam narrated to him—or he said: Abu Salamah ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman narrated to me, from ‘Abdullah ibn Salam—he said: We discussed among ourselves and said: "Who among you will go to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and ask him which deeds are most beloved to Allah, the Mighty and Majestic?" We were hesitant for any one of us to stand up. So the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, sent for us one by one until he had gathered us. We came, gesturing to one another. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, recited to us the Surah: "Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth exalts Allah, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. O you who have believed, why do you say what you do not do?" He recited them from their beginning to their end. He said: Then ‘Abdullah ibn Salam recited them to us from their beginning to their end. He said: Then ‘Ata’ recited them to us from their beginning to their end. Yahya said: Then Hilal recited them to us from their beginning to their end. Al-Awza’i said: Then Yahya recited them to us from their beginning to their end.
