And from Nafi’ ibn al-Harith, Abu Barzah narrated to us, he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying: "Beware, for lying blackens the face, and tale-bearing is the punishment of the grave." And from Nafi’, from Abu Barzah, he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying: "There will be leaders after me; if you obey them, they will cause you to disbelieve, and if you disobey them, they will kill you. They are the leaders of disbelief and the heads of misguidance." Al-Hasan ibn Hammad al-Kufi narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad, from Sulayman ibn ‘Amr ibn al-Ahwas al-Azdi, he said: Abu Hilal, the owner of this house, narrated to me, from Abu Barzah al-Aslami, that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, raised his hands in supplication until the whiteness of his armpits was seen.
