Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 243:101

Abu Kurayb narrated to us, Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from Burayd, from his father, from Abu Musa, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Indeed, Allah grants respite to the wrongdoer, until when He seizes him, He does not let him escape." Then he recited: "And such is the seizure of your Lord when He seizes the cities while they are committing wrong. Indeed, His seizure is painful and severe."
