Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, Jarir narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from 'Amr ibn Murrah, from Abu 'Ubaydah, from Abu Musa, who said: The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to name himself names for us. He said: "I am Muhammad, Ahmad, al-Muqaffi (the Successor), al-Hashir (the Gatherer), the Prophet of Mercy, and the Prophet of the Epic Battle."
