Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 243:89

On the authority of Abu Musa, from the Prophet (peace be upon him), he said: "The likeness of me and the likeness of that with which Allah has sent me is like a man who came to his people and said: 'O my people, I have indeed seen the army. I am the naked warner, so escape!' A group of his people obeyed him, so they set out by night, proceeding at their leisure, and they were saved. Another group disbelieved him, so they remained in their place until the army came upon them in the morning and annihilated them. That is the likeness of the one who obeyed me and followed what I brought of the truth, and the likeness of the one who disobeyed me and denied what I brought of the truth."
