Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 243:97

On the authority of Abu Musa, he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I indeed recognize the voices of the company of the Ash'aris by the Quran, even if I do not see their dwellings when they descend by day. And I recognize their dwellings by their voices with the Quran by night. And among them is Hakim; if he encountered the cavalry—or he said: the enemy—he would say to them: 'My companions command you to wait for them.'"
