Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 229:2

And with his chain of narration, he said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Tie up horses, and wipe their forelocks and their rumps—or he said: their hindquarters—and garland them, and do not garland them with bowstrings."
