Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 206:1

Ibn Numayr narrated to us, Abu Usamah narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from Kathir ibn Kathir ibn al-Muttalib ibn Abi Wada'ah, from his father, from his father al-Muttalib, who said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) when he finished his seven [circuits of Tawaf], he would come until he was parallel with the Saqifah (canopy/portico), and he would pray two rak'ahs at the edge of the Mataf (place of circumambulation), and there was no one between him and the Tawaf.
