Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 238:9

Musa ibn Muhammad ibn Hayyan al-Basri narrated to us, al-Dahhak ibn Makhlad narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj informed me, ‘Asim ibn ‘Ubayd Allah informed me that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "There will be rulers over you after me who will delay the prayer from its time. If they pray it at its time and you pray it with them, then it is for you and for them. If they pray it outside of its time and you pray it with them, then it is for you and against them. Whoever separates from the community has disassociated himself from Islam, and whoever dies having broken the covenant will meet Allah with no argument for himself." I (the narrator) said: "Who informed you of this?" He said: "‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Amir ibn Rabi‘ah, from his father, from the Prophet (ﷺ)."
