Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 170:1

Hadith of Iyad ibn Ghanm (RA) from the Prophet (SAW)

Hadith 170:1

Al-Hakam ibn Musa narrated to us, Hagl narrated to us, from al-Muthanna, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from Iyad ibn Ghanam, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: "Whoever drinks wine, no prayer of his shall be accepted for forty days. If he dies, he is in the Fire. If he repents, Allah will accept it from him. If he drinks it a second time, no prayer of his shall be accepted for forty days. If he dies, he is in the Fire. If he repents, Allah will accept it from him. If he drinks it a third or fourth time, it becomes a duty upon Allah to give him to drink from Radghat al-Khabal." It was said: "O Messenger of Allah, and what is Radghat al-Khabal?" He said: "The discharge of the people of the Fire."
