Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 246:14

Hadith of Jubayr ibn Mut'im (RA) from the Prophet (SAW)

Hadith 246:14

Abu Khaythama narrated to us, Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, the nephew of al-Zuhri narrated to us, from his uncle, who said: 'Umar ibn Muhammad ibn Jubayr ibn Mut'im informed me that Muhammad ibn Jubayr said: Jubayr ibn Mut'im informed me that while he was traveling with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), and the people were with him returning from Hunayn, the Bedouins began to cling to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), asking him until they forced him toward a thorny tree, and his cloak was snatched away. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) stood and said: "Give me back my cloak. For if I had as many camels as these thorny trees, I would have distributed them among you, and you would not have found me stingy, nor a liar, nor a coward."
