Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 246:23
Hadith of Jubayr ibn Mut'im (RA) from the Prophet (SAW)
Hadith 246:23
Abu Khaythama narrated to us, Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, my father narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, who said: Muhammad ibn Muslim mentioned from Muhammad ibn Jubayr ibn Mut'im, from his father Jubayr, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying while he was addressing the people at al-Khayf: "May Allah brighten a servant who heard my statement, memorized it, and then conveyed it to one who did not hear it. For perhaps the bearer of jurisprudence has no jurisprudence, and perhaps the bearer of jurisprudence conveys it to one who is more learned in jurisprudence than him. There are three things upon which the heart of a believer will not harbor malice: sincerity of action for Allah, obedience to those in authority, and adhering to the community, for their supplication encompasses those behind them."
