Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 246:29

Abu Hisham Muhammad ibn Sulayman ibn al-Hakam al-Qudaydi narrated to us, he said: My father narrated to me, from Isma'il ibn Khalid al-Khuza'i, that Muhammad ibn Jubayr ibn Mut'im heard Jubayr ibn Mut'im saying: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to me: "O Jubayr, would you like, when you go out on a journey, to be the best of your companions in appearance and the most plentiful of them in provisions?" I said: "Yes, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you." He said: "Recite these five surahs: 'Say, O disbelievers' (Al-Kafirun), 'When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest' (An-Nasr), 'Say, He is Allah, [who is] One' (Al-Ikhlas), 'Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak' (Al-Falaq), and 'Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind' (An-Nas). Begin every surah with 'In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful,' and end your recitation with 'In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.'" Jubayr said: "I was wealthy and possessed much property. I used to go out with whomever Allah willed that I go out with on a journey, and I would be the most ragged of them in appearance and the least of them in provisions. But ever since the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) taught them to me and I recited them, I have been the best of them in appearance and the most plentiful of them in provisions, until I return from that journey of mine."
